Her former father-in-law is listed as the organizer of the conspiracy to kill her.
Hong Kong. Hong Kong police have arrested at least four people for the murder of a popular local model Abby Choi after finding parts of his dismembered corpse in a rented house on the outskirts of town.
Security forces arrested Alex Kwong, the victim’s ex-husband, this Saturday while he was at a pier on one of Hong Kong’s remote islands.
The detainee was already wanted for involvement in a gold scam worth about $636,000.
Kwong’s parents and brother have also been arrested and police are continuing to question them as they search for the remains of the 28-year-old model, who went missing last Wednesday.
Two days after she disappeared, authorities found the woman’s feet in a refrigerator at a home recently rented by her ex-father-in-law, who investigators believe masterminded a plot to kill her over a multimillion-dollar real estate dispute, local media reported.
Police, who sent dozens of agents and even a scuba team to search for Choi’s head, hands and other body parts, seized a meat cleaver, an electric saw and some clothes believed to be connected to the house.
Choi, who has nearly 100,000 followers on Instagram, has become internationally known as a model, even walking the Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2023 Haute Couture show in Paris and recently appearing on the digital cover of luxury magazine L’Officiel Monaco.
Authorities said Tsoi’s two children and her ex-husband will remain in the custody of the model’s mother.
