Minneapolis. Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa came home to bat for the Minnesota Twins, who beat the Kansas City Royals 7-1 on Thursday.

Buxton and the Puerto Rican Correa attacked the veteran right-hander Zack Greinke in the fourth chapter. Buxton’s hit drove in three runs, ricocheting over the right-center field fence to make it 6-1.

Correa followed with a home run that put the ball in the bullpen between left and center field.

Twin starter Tyler Maleonly one run is allowed – a home run Vinny Pasquantino in the top of the fourth inning- but he left after solving that inning because of elbow soreness.

Discharger Brock Stewart (1-0), called up from Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, went two scoreless innings in his Twins debut. He made three outs.

Greinke, 39, fell to 0-4 on the season. His ERA fell to 6.10 after seven runs and eight hits in 3 2/3 innings.

For the Twins, Puerto Rican Correa is 3-1 with two runs and one RBI. Jose Miranda from 4-0, Christian Vasquez 3-2 with two goals scored. Dominican Jorge Polanco from 4-1.
