The presence of a promoter Don King in the main arenas of rented boxing, he fell behind his rivals Top Rank, Matchroom Boxing and the Premier Boxing Championship.

But King is convinced he is the right man to put Broner on the front line at 140 pounds. It should be noted that Broner has not fought since February 2021, when he defeated the Puerto Rican Giovani Santiago by unanimous decision of the judges.

Broner was supposed to fight on February 25, but Ivan Redkach, Hank Lundy and Michael Williams Jr. canceled for various reasons. Now King must find an opponent to help him enter into world title talks.

Will King find the key to restoring the prestige he once had? Time will tell, but history is not in Broner’s favor.
