The Foundation De Frente al Alzheimer, Inc (DFAZ), sponsored by singer Victor Manuel, announced today the payment of $130,000 to families living in 37 municipalities in Puerto Rico. This happened thanks to the fund-raising that they hold every year, especially the already traditional “Walk for your hero” campaign.

Since its creation in 2015, Fundación De Frente al Alzheimer, Inc. (DFAZ) was able to help more than 600 families on the island by reimbursing costs related to the care of Alzheimer’s patients, such as: escort services, care, medical services, medicines, diapers and medical equipment among others.

“Hurricane Fiona has highlighted the difficult economic situation facing the Alzheimer’s community and their families. Now more than ever, our trust is more important. We are extremely grateful to all sponsors for their great help,” said Teresa Seda, founder of the organization.

Over the years, there have been many allies who have helped this organization, including singer Victor Manuel, who commented, “As long as God gives me health, I will always be there to help improve the quality of life for patients. and guardians.

For her part, Yvonne Rivera, executive director of Fundación De Frente al Alzheimer, Inc. (DFAZ), concluded: “We want to thank the Francisco Carvajal Foundation, which for the second year joins our efforts with the Francisco Carvajal Foundation, thus extending the reach of families affected by financial assistance. Also to our friends at Me Salvé for their great dedication to selling t-shirts and for giving us $60,000 this year so we can continue our mission.”
