Actor Sam Neill has surprised by revealing that he is undergoing special treatment after being diagnosed with stage three blood cancer. She broke the news in a recent interview with The Guardian, where she discussed details of her upcoming memoir, Did I Ever Told You That?

According to the actor, he first felt the swollen glands in his neck in March 2022 while promoting the movie “Jurassic World Domination”. After consulting a doctor, he was diagnosed with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.

Sam Neill began chemotherapy treatment; however, it was not effective. However, he received a new treatment that he will have to follow for the rest of his life, even though he is now cancer free.

“I can’t pretend that there weren’t dark moments last year, but those dark moments shed light, you know, and it made me feel grateful for every day and extremely grateful for all my friends. Just glad to be alive,” the actor told a British newspaper.

During the interview, the actor did not reveal the details of his battle with cancer, but said that writing a memoir helped him a lot to overcome this difficult stage and became one of the main reasons for staying alive after the diagnosis.

“I have nothing to do. I’m used to working. I like to work, I like to go to work. I like to be with people every day and enjoy human company, friendship and all that. And suddenly I was deprived of it. And I thought: “What am I going to do?”, he said.

“I never intended to write a book. But as I went on and wrote, I realized that he actually gave me a reason to live, and I went to bed thinking, “I’ll write about this tomorrow… it’ll entertain me.” And it was really a lifesaver because I couldn’t go through it without having to do anything, you know,” the actor said in an interview.
